Bottom-line: We'd stay here again if we were in the area. Other pros and cons of this property are listed below. We were always able to find a space near the door between garage and lobby, so never had to walk far from our car to the hotel. Parking is in a garage adjacent to the hotel. There are several other restaurants within walking distance of the hotel also. Guests of the hotel get a 5% credit on their restaurant and bar tabs if they charge the costs to their room. They have a bar and pub on site, and on weekends, there is also a buffet restaurant. The hotel was reasonably quiet and comfortable, with parking and wi-fi included in their $10 per night resort fee. Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are about an hour east of Bangor. About an hour north and west of Bangor, there are some scenic drives. We were able to get a reasonably-priced flight into the Bangor airport where we rented a car and drove a short distance to this hotel. We chose Bangor as our base of operations for touring northern and western Maine during the fall foliage season.
